The new Commodore 64 Ultimate Firmware is Here!
Dust off those joysticks and get ready to POKE some fun into your favorite hardware! We are thrilled to announce that we’ve officially LOADed an update to the Commodore experience. Version 1.1.0 is officially out, and it’s more than just a minor tweak!
What’s New?
We aren't just re-RUNning old code. Check out these shiny new features:
USB Mouse Support: Most USB mice are now supported, so you can point and click your way through the digital frontier.
A "Sound" Investment: The LED controller now features Music Detect mode. Your keyboard and case LEDs can now automatically jam along to your favorite SIDs and game sound effects. It’s a total light show for your ears!
Easy Navigation: We’ve added the Left Arrow (←) to help you navigate menus effortlessly.

Instructions for updating the firmware:
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have setting you'd like to save, see the section below on steps to save your config file. That way you can restore it after you've upgraded.
Extra the ZIP file to a USB Drive
Connect the USB Drive to the Commodore 64 Ultimate
Turn on the Commodore 64 Ultimate
Enter the Commodore 64 Ultimate Menu by toggle the power switch up or pressing C= and RESTORE at the same time

Select Disk File Browser and navigate to the directory where you extracted the firmware files.

Hit RETURN, select Run Update, and press RETURN to start the update process.

Select Yes to reformat the flash disk.

Next select Yes to start the update.

Select Yes to reset your configuration.

The system will power down. Turn it back on for computing fun!
To Back up an existing Configuration:
During the upgrade process you will be ask to restore to default settings. So, saving your configuration makes it easier to load it back in the future. Below are the instructions to save your system configuration.
Enter the Commodore 64 Ultimate Menu by toggle the power switch up or pressing C= and RESTORE at the same time
Select Disk File Browser and then the USB drive you wish to save your current configuration.
Press F1 and Select Configuration and hit RETURN

Select "Save to File" and press RETURN.

Type in the name of your configuration file and press RETURN


To restore the previously saved config file:
Enter the Commodore 64 Ultimate Menu by toggle the power switch up or pressing C= and RESTORE at the same time.

Select Disk File Browser

Select USB1 or USB2 whichever one you attached your USB drive. Then navigate to the directory where you extracted the firmware file. Then hit RETURN to show the options:
